We have put together a powerful combination of two functional tests to explore your gut health and your mineral status. The GI-Map and the HTMA will help get to the root cause of imbalances that are holding you back from obtaining the optimal health you deserve.

The GI Map test analyzes a stool sample to assess the composition of gut bacteria, including both beneficial and harmful bacteria, as well as other microorganisms like parasites, fungi, and viruses, providing insight into the overall health of the digestive system by measuring their levels and also checking for markers related to inflammation, immune function, and digestive enzyme activity, which can indicate potential issues like leaky gut syndrome or malabsorption. This package includes the additional marker (zonulin), which brings insight to intestinal permeability.

The HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) is a test that assesses the mineral content in hair. A small hair sample from the head can bring insight to the body's mineral status, especially intracellular (inside the cells) activity, which is challenging to assess through blood tests. It reveals not only minerals such as sodium, potassium, copper, and magnesium, but also heavy metals like mercury, aluminum, and lead. Through analyzing mineral patterns, we also gain beneficial insight to your body's metabolic energy, adrenals, thyroid, blood sugar, digestion, detoxification capacity.

By viewing a GI-Map alongside the HTMA, you can gain a more comprehensive understanding of one's overall health by analyzing both their gut microbiome composition (from the GI-Map) and potential mineral imbalances or toxicities (from the HTMA), which can often be interconnected and influence each other.

Test. Don't Guess!

Key insights gained by combining these two tests:
-
Gut-Immune Connection: A GI-Map can reveal imbalances in beneficial bacteria, parasites, or pathogens in the gut, which can directly impact immune function, while the HTMA can show mineral levels related to immune health (like zinc and selenium), along with showing your body's metabolic energy and vitality - which is needed to support gut heath and healing - especially if there is intestinal permeability and gut infections, like h.pylori found.
-
Digestive Function and Nutrient Absorption: The GI-Map can indicate potential digestive issues like malabsorption, while the HTMA may show deficiencies in essential minerals that are needed for proper digestion (like sodium, cobalt and zinc). Additionally the HTMA can help shed light on the the body's cellular ability to absorb the nutrients we consume.
-
Toxic Exposure and Gut Health: Certain heavy metals identified on an HTMA can disrupt gut flora balance, impact the production of important metabolites like short-chain fatty acid, and can compromise the integrity of the intestinal barrier, allowing toxins to leak into the bloodstream, potentially contributing to inflammation.
-
Stress and Gut Microbiome: HTMA can reveal signs of chronic stress through mineral imbalances. It is well established that stress can compromise digestive capacity which impacts our microbiome.
-
Skin and Gut Health: Gut health is closely related to our skin health by way of our gut-skin axis. The GI-Map can revealed many markers that may help explain some of your skin issues. Paired with the magnitude of insights gained from the HTMA, the combination of these two tests makes for the perfect root investigation into any skin health challenge.
-
Mental Health and Gut Health: The connection of the gut-brain axis is well established. Minerals and heavy metals can be at the root of a dysbiotic gut and an imbalance in your microbiome can be at the root of your mineral absorption.
-
Metabolic and Weight Issues: The GI-MAP can offer insights into the role of the gut microbiome in metabolism and weight regulation, providing avenues for intervention in diabetes management and weight loss. The HTMA can tie in the missing peices with insight to your metabolic energy, impact of stress on your nutrient status, adrenal, thyroid and blood sugar capacity from a mineral perspective.
-
Kids Health: This package is a favorite for my kid clients. By focusing on gut health and mineral balancing - we are able to see many shifts in the child's behavioral concerns, skin health, sleep and mood concerns.
